Sierra | Class of 2019
I met up with Sierra for her senior pictures in our beautiful town of Portland, Michigan...there is no place like home! Both of us agreed that Portland provides many beautiful locations for senior pictures and Sierra chose some of the best ones! Here are a few of my favorite photos from Sierra's session along with more about this beautiful person!
RP: You want to go into the medical field, what drew you to this career choice?
Sierra: My mom is a nurse that always tells us her stories and I find them absolutely fascinating. Additionally, I love to help others and the medical field provides an incredible opportunity to do that.
RP: What has been one of your best or most memorable moments in high school?
Sierra: High School has been filled with some incredible times however I think the top three are taking first in the spring sports carnival for soccer, having a gym class with a large portion of the varsity football team my sophomore year, in which I got to be my competitive self and was viewed as "one of the guys" and lastly, learning who I want to be in life and who my friends really are.
RP: What are some of your words to live by?
Sierra: It's hard to summarize exactly what I live by, but two key things are "treat all people with kindness no matter what" and "well-behaved women rarely make history." In summary, I live by the idea "always be kind to others, but don't be afraid to break the rules." I live by this because sometimes the rules or customs aren't always what is right and there is no point in being cruel to others, it accomplishes nothing, so why not be kind instead?
Thank you, Sierra, for allowing me to capture you during your senior year! I had so much fun!
