Daddy Daughter Dance | Portland, Michigan

Each February, I am asked to photograph the Daddy Daughter Dance hosted by the City of Portland. This event is a great opportunity for many children to get their best dressed and go on a special “date night” with one of their favorite people.

Many local businesses participate in the Daddy Daughter Dance festivities by running dinner specials or offering corsages. The dance occurs over two evenings each February and both evenings are full of people looking to give their child a special night. I have been photographing the Daddy Daughter Dance for several years and one of my favorite things is seeing many of the kids growing up year after year. I am already looking forward to next year!

The Daddy Daughter Dance is held annually in Portland. When registration opens, it is typically located here.
